Sara’s inspiration is derived from world travel and her love of nature. Using gems of nature in combination with Sterling Silver, Copper and Brass, Sara creates unique handcrafted Jewelry designs. Each piece is individually handmade and executed by the artist.

She first selects the stones, then makes a full color rendering of each piece. Individual selections are then cut out of the prefered metals. After assembling the metals, she solders the pieces together, cleans the metal, buffs and polishes it until the desired finish is achieved. If the piece contains no enamel sections, the stones are set and a final polish is performed. If there are cloisonné enamel sections to be added, the piece is set aside to create these sections next and then the final polish is applied.

Sara enjoys working with metals, powered porcelain glass, semi precious stones, fossils and other natural elements. She even fabricates her own dichroic glass. Creating one of a kind jewelry is very rewarding for Sara and provides a unique piece of art for the buyer as well.

Sara was trained at Pratt Institute in New York and the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio. She exhibits nationally and at art fairs and has received many awards.
